Purpose:

IHS Towers is seeking a Real Estate Administration Intern to provide administrative and operational support to the Real Estate team.

The successful candidate will gain practical experience in lease administration, landlord management, property documentation, data capturing, document management and real estate portfolio administration, with an extension possibility and gain additional 12months on the Internship

The role will support the effective management of lease and landlord information while contributing to data accuracy, compliance and efficient administration of the real estate portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Real Estate team.
  • Assist with the management and maintenance of the lease portfolio.
  • Upload executed leases, lease extensions, addendums and supporting documentation onto relevant systems.
  • Assist with lease expiry, extension and renewal processes.
  • Maintain accurate lease expiry and renewal records.
  • Update landlord information following approved changes to ownership, contact details, banking information or authorised representatives.
  • Assist with the collection, verification and filing of landlord supporting documentation.
  • Process and maintain records of third-party applications, including co-location and other property-related applications.
  • Track third-party applications and maintain accurate application registers.
  • Maintain landlord correspondence and communication records. Maintain trackers, registers and administrative reports relating to lease expiries, renewals, landlord verification and outstanding documentation.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Real Estate, Property Management, Property Studies, Town and Regional Planning, Business Administration, Public Administration, Legal Studies or another relevant field.
  • 0–2 years’ experience in an administrative, property, real estate, lease administration or related environment.
  • Previous exposure to telecommunications, property management, lease administration or site acquisition will be advantageous.
  • Experience in document management, data capturing and maintaining administrative records.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good record-keeping and document management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple administrative tasks and deadlines.
  • Professional and courteous approach when dealing with landlords and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong sense of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within the Real Estate environment.

 

Experience:

  • 0–2 years’ experience in an administrative, property, real estate, lease administration or related environment.
  • Experience in property management, telecommunications, lease administration or site acquisition will be advantageous.
