This programme is designed to equip young talent with practical, globally recognized cybersecurity expertise, covering threat detection, risk management, cryptography and incident response.

Overview

This 3-month Skills programme provides structured theoretical training. Delegates will develop core cybersecurity capabilities. while earning a certification that opens doors to in-demand IT security roles.

It’s especially valuable in South Africa, where cybersecurity talent is in high demand. Delegates who pass their Exam will be given a bonus in the 3rd month of the programme.

Responsibilities

  • Active Participation: Attend all training sessions, engaging with instructors and peers.
  • Self-Study & Preparation: Dedicate time outside of class to review study materials, practice exam questions and reinforce weak areas.
  • Ethical Conduct: Follow cybersecurity ethics – respect confidentiality, avoid misuse of tools and maintain integrity in exercises.
  • Collaboration: Work in group projects or discussions, simulating team-based security operations.
  • Assessment Readiness: Prepare for quizzes, assignments and the final Security+ exam by demonstrating mastery of key domains.
  • Continuous Improvement: Track progress, seek feedback and refine skills to meet certification standards.

Requirements

  • Must have Matric (Grade 12)
  • Must have completed a qualification in the faculties below:
    • Media
    • Information Technology
  • Must be a South African citizen between 18 – 28 years old
  • Must be currently unemployed
  • Must be able to participate in a full-time 3-month Skills programme
  • Effective communication
  • Must have own personal laptop and excess to a stable Internet connection

 

Failure to meet these requirements may result in disqualification from the selection process.
